The
Hall is in the High Street opposite The Cross near
the centre of the village. It is suitable for many
different events and is widely used by local groups
and for private functions.
The
Hall will seat 80 people at tables or 110 more
informally. There is a small, well equipped kitchen, renovated during lockdown in 2020, and now open for hire. We now also have a serving hatch.
Thanks to Beth and Chris Goldsworthy for running the project, and thanks to the team who worked on it.
If you have an event or idea in mind please contact us for more detailed information about what is available. Parking is available on the Playing Field. |
Forthcoming
Events & COVID-19 Our committee of trustees decided that normal activities and events at Aylburton Memorial Hall were suspended from 17th March 2020. Uncertainties associated with the end of COVID-19 restrictions meant it was impractical for our volunteers to commit to the 2021 Carnival. The 2022 Carnival is planned for 9th July 2022. We have resumed limited activities.
We have used the lockdown to refit our Kitchen, reflecting feedback from users. Organisers/Hirers will be responsible for their own Risk Assessment, Control Measures and retaining a record of attendance for 21 days to support Track & Trace. We are imposing limits placed on number of people allowed in the hall of 25 standing or 20 seated, with a 2m limit to be observed. Face Masks are to be worn if Social Distancing is not practicable.Tai Chi, Karate and the Toddler Group have resumed. The Hall could also open for essential voluntary activities, public support services and/or early years provision. However this would also be subject to specific updated risk assessments. Cricket on the Playing Field is permitted under specific conditions. The playing field is also available
for informal use by families and members of the
public, subject to COVID-19 guidance. We are reviewing the situation regularly, in
conjunction with our regular users, and updating our
risk assessments accordingly. Hall Booking The Bookings Secretary |
